First class of term 4 begins October 2019
Each course runs for 6 weeks
Maximum 15 students per class (3 teachers when 15 students).
Classes are a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced students, wheel throwing is taught for every level and new techniques are introduced as students progress to the next term.
The cost of the course is $395 and provides materials: pottery equipment, one bag of clay, basic essential pottery tools, decorating material, some glazes, and firing of the pottery. Payment must be processed before the term begins to confirm your booking and it’s non-refundable 1 week prior to course commencement.
Throw 10-15 ceramic vessels/bowls on the pottery wheel, glaze, and ceramic pieces are ready for pick up one week after the last class.
Week 1: Centering clay
Week 2: Throwing cylinders
Week 3: Throwing small bowls
Week 4: Throwing bigger bowls
Week 5: Trimming ceramics
Week 6: Glazing
Students are required to bring:
1. An apron and a bath towel.
2. Dress in appropriate clothing (clay is messy) and warm clothes in winter
3. Wear closed-toe shoes
